About the Role

The Director Clinical & Care Governance is a key senior leadership role responsible for driving excellence in safety, quality, and risk management across all Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) services. Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing & Midwifery, you will lead the Clinical & Care Governance portfolio and ensure strong clinical governance frameworks are embedded into everyday practice. You will provide authoritative advice, assurance, and insight to influence both strategic and operational decision-making, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and learning across multiple sites. This is a rare opportunity to shape clinical governance at a system level and make a visible, lasting impact on healthcare delivery in a regional health network.

About You

You are a senior health professional with strong clinical governance expertise and the credibility to operate at executive level. You combine strategic thinking with practical leadership and are confident navigating complex systems, risk environments, and stakeholder relationships.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Hold professional registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife or Allied Health professional.
  • Demonstrate proven expertise in clinical governance, safety, quality improvement, and risk management.
  • Lead and influence multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Provide high-level, authoritative advice to Executive leadership on safety, quality, and governance.
  • Use clinical and quality data to drive assurance, improvement, and informed decision-making.
