As an Advanced Trainee (Senior Registrar) in our Northern Adelaide Geriatric Service, you will work alongside experienced clinicians to develop specialised skills in geriatric medicine. This role provides comprehensive training in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions affecting older patients, including dementia care, falls prevention, and medication management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialised geriatric medical care under supervision
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning
  • Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading, professional development allowance and superannuation.

About You

We are seeking a committed medical professional with a genuine interest in geriatric medicine and improving outcomes for older adults. You will have completed your basic physician training as recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and demonstrate strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

To be eligible for appointment to this role, you must hold:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner
  • Completed and passed Basic Physician Training as recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
