Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Supporting Quality Care and Strong Clinical Leadership

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll combine advanced clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, supporting nursing teams and helping drive continuous improvement in care delivery.

About the Role:

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide nursing and/or midwifery services that have been consolidated through experience and/or further study, practicing at a competent to proficient level. You will accept accountability for your own practice standards, the activities delegated to others, and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.

Working closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent, you will support the leadership of nurses and/or midwives within the ward, unit or service. This includes contributing to a positive clinical environment that promotes continuity, safety and consistency of care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

This is a part time vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
