About the role: 

Reporting to the Nursing Director - Operations Virtual Care Service, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Provides leadership and direction, acts a role model, mentor, consultant and resource person
  • Contribute specific expertise to monitor and evaluate research activities in order to improve nursing or midwifery practice and service delivery
  • Being responsive to the expectations and needs of both clinical and non-clinical colleagues
  • Management of resources with due diligence
  • Ensure mechanisms are in place to support ongoing education where work and learning are integrated
  • The SA Virtual Care Services is located at Tonsley, and staff are required to work onsite.

About you:

  • Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Demonstrated competence in Acute and/or Out of Hospital/Hospital Avoidance Models nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Skills in using computers and software relevant to the area of practice, including EMR and Health Direct
  • Demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management
