Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Workers to join our dynamic, growing and supportive team. About the Role:

As a Social Worker within Oncology and Medical Subspecialties, you will provide comprehensive assessment, intervention and discharge planning for both inpatients and outpatients. Working across two NALHN public hospitals, acute medical wards, the Oncology Service and broader clinical areas, you will support patients, families and carers through complex health journeys.

In this role, you will:

  • deliver coordinated, interdisciplinary social work services that optimise patient wellbeing and health outcomes
  • rotate through a variety of clinical services, broadening your experience and clinical capability
  • apply your professional expertise to plan, implement and evaluate integrated, person‑centred care
  • provide guidance and support to less experienced Social Workers, allied health assistants and students
  • collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary Allied Health team, and liaise with medical, nursing and community agencies to ensure seamless care

Appointment to the role will be at the AHP2 or AHP3 classification, dependent on the level of Tertiary Hospital and trained counselling experience.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
