Join Our Team as an Allied Health Assistant in Port Pirie!

Are you passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of your community? We are looking for a dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Port Pirie Regional Health Service. About the Role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance in delivering high-quality Allied Health services to our patients and clients. Working under the supervision of Allied Health Professionals, you will help monitor patient responses to therapies and prepare patients for their therapy sessions, including transport to and from interventions. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring our clients receive the best possible care and support. 

Duties may include:

  • Monitoring patient responses to therapies and reporting findings to the supervising Allied Health Professional.
  • Assisting in the preparation of patients for therapy sessions.
  • Providing transport assistance for patients to and from therapy interventions.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.

Essential Criteria

  • For AHA2 Level: You must hold or be actively working towards a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance, with relevant experience in a service environment.
  • For AHA3 Level: A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) is required, along with demonstrated experience in a service environment.
