About the Role:
Join SA Health's Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as Director of Occupational Therapy at Lyell McEwin Health Service, Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. This newly created full-time leadership position offers an exceptional opportunity to drive occupational therapy services across Adelaide's northern metropolitan region until February 2027.
Located within one of South Australia's largest health networks, you will work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals committed to providing exceptional patient care to our diverse community. Key Responsibilities
Lead a dedicated team of occupational therapists delivering comprehensive rehabilitation and community health services. You'll oversee clinical governance, service development, and strategic planning while ensuring the highest standards of patient care across our growing network. Key focus areas are:
- Provision of clinical and operational leadership for occupational therapy services
- Developing and implementing evidence-based practice frameworks
- Managing budgets, resources, and workforce planning
- Foster partnerships with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Champion professional development and education initiatives
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
