Join Our Team as a CSSD Assistant - Support Safe and Efficient Sterilisation Services

Make a meaningful impact by contributing to the safe and effective sterilisation of medical equipment, ensuring high-quality patient care and infection control. This role offers the opportunity to develop foundational skills in a critical hospital service while working under supervision in a supportive environment.

About the Role:

As a CSSD Assistant, you will perform essential support tasks within the Central Sterile Services Department, assisting with the cleaning, preparation, and handling of surgical instruments and equipment. You will undergo an orientation program of up to 12 months, gaining the knowledge and skills required to support sterilisation services safely and effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in exercising own judgement and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

This is a part time vacancy, working 48 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:
