The Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Community plays a key role in delivering safe, consistent, and person-centred nursing and/or midwifery care within the Penola MPS community service. This position supports the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager through clinical leadership, coordination of care, and day-to-day unit management activities, while maintaining a strong clinical focus. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing and/or midwifery care in line with professional standards and community needs.
  • Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in the leadership and coordination of the community service.
  • Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with the broader multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist with unit management activities including staffing, rostering, leave management, work allocation, and resource planning.

  • Are you a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with experience working in community or multidisciplinary healthcare settings?
  • Do you demonstrate competent to proficient clinical practice and accountability for your own nursing/midwifery care?
  • Are you confident supporting and guiding less experienced staff and contributing to team development?
  • Do you have strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills to support effective service delivery?
