About the Role

Join us as a High-Performance Computing Cluster and Data Systems Specialist and play a key role in shaping cutting-edge computing systems for Genetics, Molecular Pathology, Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, and SA Pathology. You’ll lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of HPC solutions that support vital research and clinical programs.

In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day support while contributing to innovative projects, working closely with the Manager ICTS, SA Pathology, to ensure systems align with organisational policies, standards, and strategic goals in digital pathology. Your expertise will help deliver reliable, high-performance computing environments that drive clinical and translational research genomics, improve processes, data integration and access.

About You

You’re a highly skilled HPC professional who thrives on optimising high-performance computing systems and supporting researchers. You bring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to deliver reliable, efficient, and secure computing environments.

• Proven experience managing HPC systems, Linux clusters, and hybrid cloud setups
• Skilled in job scheduling, resource allocation, and performance optimisation
• Strong programming and scripting abilities for automation and system support
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and user support skills
