Make a real impact on patient and staff safety.

Provide expert infection prevention and control (IPC) services across health settings, including outbreak response, waste management, and policy implementation.  Support staff through education and mentoring, and review Safety Learning System (SLS) incidents for PC breaches and blood/body fluid exposures to ensure safe care for consumers.

Deliver advanced nursing/midwifery care, consolidating clinical expertise from competent to proficient practice. While primarily clinical, you'll also contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assigned IPC portfolios.

What We’re Looking For

• Post tertiary qualifications in infection control or willingness to enrol in further postgraduate studies in infection control essential.
• Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; able to work independently.
• Expertise in infection prevention and control, meeting professional standards.
• Skilled in prioritising workload, using relevant software, and applying creative, flexible clinical solutions.
