WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This role provides the opportunity to deliver expert mental health nursing care in a dynamic Emergency Triage and Liaison Service, covering all of country South Australia via telephone and videoconferencing. Based at Glenside Health Services, you will work alongside other Mental Health Nurses and have access to the support of on-call Consultant Psychiatrists, providing assessment, triage, advice, and guidance to community members, primary care providers, GPs, and country hospitals.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Provide proficient, person-centred mental health nursing care in emergency triage and related clinical settings.
  • Support the Team Leader or Nurse Unit Manager in clinical, education, and service delivery activities.
  • Participate in teaching, mentoring, and supervision of students and less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, research, and development of policies or guidelines.
  • Promote continuity and consistency of care through effective collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

  • You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • You must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice.
