Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older Australians?  We're seeking a Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to help create vibrant, enriching experiences for our Aged Care Residents at Ceduna Senior Citizens Village.  If you are dedicated to promoting independence, boosting self-esteem, and supporting the social and recreational needs of elderly individuals, this is the role for you!

As the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator, you'll lead the development and delivery of tailored therapeutic and educational programs for residents, enabling them to enjoy meaningful, daily activities.  Your work will directly contribute to their well-being and sense of belonging in our caring community.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, organise and deliver engaging individual and group activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Support residents to achieve personal goals and participate in meaningful social, recreational, and therapeutic programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, assist with risk assessments, and ensure the safe and efficient use of equipment and resources.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance, support, and training to colleagues and new staff as required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Do you have a genuine passion for enhancing the wellbeing, independence and enjoyment of life for older people?
  • Are you qualified (or working towards a qualification) in Leisure & Lifestyle, Aged Care, Community Services or a related field, with experience supporting aged, frail or disabled clients?
  • Do you bring creativity, initiative and good judgement to designing and delivering meaningful activity programs that reflect individual needs and interests?
  • Are you a respectful, reliable team member with strong communication skills who values dignity, confidentiality and person-centred care?

Applicant Information

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a WHA3 or WHA4 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check 
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B
