About the Opportunity

Are you a seasoned healthcare professional with a passion for driving excellence in patient care? We're seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead and coordinate patient care delivery within Burra Hospital.

As a pivotal member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring continuity and quality of care while fostering a positive work culture.  You'll utilise your clinical knowledge and experience to lead nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams towards achieving optimal patient/client outcomes.  

Your main focus in this role will be line management, coordination, and leadership of team activities, accountability for nursing/midwifery practices, and promoting a work environment conducive to staff development and patient-centric care.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with a minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience.  Previous experience in management, leadership and supervisory roles is essential.
