Community and Allied Health Service

Our Allied and Community Health Teams are multi-disciplinary teams who work together towards the common goal of improving health outcomes of our community members. Services are based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, with regular outreach clinics held in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Maree and Leigh Creek. We offer a wide range of centre-based, in-home and community-based services to people of all ages and tailor our services to best meet our client needs. About the Role:

As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality, client-focused care to individuals who are aged, frail, or living with a disability, supporting them to remain independent in their own homes. You will assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility support, nutrition, household tasks, and social and emotional wellbeing. Working under the guidance of Registered Nurses and other allied health professionals, you will also support basic nursing care, podiatry, and rehabilitation programs as outlined in individual care plans. In addition, you will contribute to the efficient operation of the Community Health Service by participating in team meetings, maintaining accurate client records, assisting with data collection, and supporting policy and procedure implementation. This role offers the opportunity to make a real, practical impact on the health, safety, and quality of life of clients while developing your skills and knowledge in a supportive community health environment.

 

About You:

  • Experience in a personal care attendant or related field.
  • Experience in working with people with varying degrees of disability/illness.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
