About the Role:

An inspiring career opportunity is available within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Nurse Consultant in the Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care division. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through our forward-thinking Geriatrics in the Home program, supporting older adults to remain safe, well and independent in a familiar environment.

You will take a leading role in driving the GITH Patient Flow initiative, this is a role that blends advanced clinical practice with consultancy leadership, shaping service delivery while ensuring older adults receive compassionate, person‑centred care in familiar surroundings. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • providing expert geriatric nursing consultation
  • collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • mentoring and supporting nursing staff
  • conducting comprehensive assessments and coordinating care transitions
  • contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
