Facilities & Grounds Officer - Supporting Safe and Well-Maintained Health Services

Make a practical and visible impact by helping maintain safe, functional and welcoming health facilities. As a Facilities & Grounds Officer, you’ll play an important role in supporting day-to-day operations through general maintenance, grounds care and preventative maintenance activities that keep the health unit running smoothly.

About the Role:

The Facilities & Grounds Officer is responsible for undertaking general facility and grounds maintenance across the interior and/or exterior of the health unit. Duties include a range of maintenance activities such as rubbish collection, carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical tasks and grounds maintenance.

The role also involves completing breakdown and preventative maintenance program tasks, monitoring plant and equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation to support safe and efficient facility operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Trade qualifications or trade equivalent skills in a relevant trade.
  • Proven experience in building and ground maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of a wide range of power tools.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of plant and equipment operation and maintenance.
