About the role

As a Sonographer, you will deliver a high-quality diagnostic ultrasound service across a broad and complex range of procedures within the Medical Imaging Department. Working with a high level of professional independence, you will use specialised equipment and advanced scanning techniques to perform comprehensive examinations that directly inform patient diagnosis, treatment and ongoing clinical management. Your expertise, judgement and adaptable approach will ensure imaging outcomes consistently meet clinical requirements and support timely, accurate decision-making by radiologists and referring clinicians.

You will work collaboratively with radiologists, medical staff, wards and clinics to coordinate workflow, communicate findings and support efficient service delivery. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to research, quality improvement initiatives and the development of scanning protocols and procedural standards. As an experienced practitioner, you will support the professional growth of colleagues and students through education, mentoring and clinical guidance, while maintaining your own professional currency through ongoing development, collaboration and participation in clinical forums.

About You

You are a qualified and motivated Sonographer who brings advanced clinical expertise, strong professional judgement and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality ultrasound services.

• Accredited Sonographer with ASAR registration and a recognised postgraduate ultrasound qualification
• Advanced capability across a broad range of complex ultrasound procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to safe practice, quality care and continuous professional development
