Lead Cardiac Excellence - Head of Cardiology Opportunity at Premier Teaching Hospital!

Join SA Health as the Head of Cardiology at Flinders Medical Centre and lead one of South Australia's most respected cardiac teams. This role is designed to allow you to undertake key leadership and managerial duties while maintaining your clinical expertise through a dedicated clinical time commitment. Furthermore, you will work closely with our contract partners to aim for excellence and sustainability in service delivery.

As Head of Cardiology:

  • Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the unit in collaboration with the Clinical Director 
  • Supporting clinical outcomes, lead service strategies, and coordinate audit activities and quality improvement initiatives. 
  • Providing clinical supervision and line management for medical staff, ensuring excellence in service delivery.
  • Develop systems for quality improvement, including the examination of KPIs and clinical audits.
  • Partner with college supervisors to ensure Trainee Medical Officers are supported and meet their training obligations.
