About the Role:

An excellent opportunity is available to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Sterilising Technician. In this vital role, you will support medical and nursing teams across the Operating Theatre, Gastroenterology and surrounding areas, helping to maintain safe, efficient and high‑quality patient care. 

As a Sterilising Technician, you will be responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, packaging and sterilisation of medical instruments and equipment using modern systems and best‑practice techniques. Your contribution will be essential to upholding the highest standards of infection control and ensuring the smooth, reliable operation of the sterilisation unit. You will work as part of a dedicated, supportive team committed to excellence and patient safety. 

To be eligible for this position at WHA4 classification, you must hold AQF Certificate III relevant to the employee’s position.

To be eligible for this position at WHA5 classification, you must hold  AQF Certificate III relevant to the employee’s position and at least 560 hours satisfactory in service experience.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should possess strong attention to detail, a commitment to strict protocols and a reliable work ethic. You will have the ability to be adaptable, eager to learn and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a hospital or sterilisation environment will be highly regarded.
