Overview:

  • The Director Funding, Pricing and Costing is accountable to the Executive Director for the leadership and direction of the Funding Directorate.  The Director will ensure the effective delivery of funding, costing and pricing advice, analysis and reporting to the whole of SA Health, incorporating the Department, Local Health Networks and SA Ambulance Service.
  • The role is accountable for the development and management of activity and non-activity based funding models that support the delivery of effective and efficient public health services. The Director will have strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across Local Health Network, the department and with national bodies to improve local funding strategy and related costing and classification information.
  • The Director will lead teams working across the management of the patient costing system, portfolio funding allocation, activity-based funding and revenue strategy, including Medicare compliance. The position plays a key role in the development, maintenance, and updating of case-mix classifications, activity counting, funding models, and non-case mix funding components for the portfolio.
