Join Our Team as a Cook – Deliver Quality Meals and Make a Difference

Play a vital role in maintaining the health and wellbeing of our community by ensuring the production and distribution of meals meets high standards. As a Cook, you’ll contribute to a safe, efficient, and effective food service operation, supporting both patients and staff in a dynamic health environment.

About the Role:

As a Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation and plating of meals, menu selection, and maintaining quality control standards for food production. You will manage the ordering of non-imprest food supplies and ensure that all meals are produced and distributed efficiently and effectively. Your role ensures that every meal served meets the required standards for taste, nutrition, and presentation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Trade qualifications or trade equivalent skills as a Cook.
  • Previous experience in preparing and cooking bulk meals
  • Experience in the oversight of staff.
  • Experience in preparing and cooking for dietary requirements.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgement and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.

This is a part time vacancy, working 56 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
