About the role

As Senior Business Support Officer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our district operations running smoothly. Providing high-level administrative support to District Managers, you’ll be a trusted point of contact who helps coordinate priorities, manage information and ensure day-to-day business functions are delivered efficiently. With a strong customer service focus, you’ll respond to enquiries professionally and support timely, well-informed decision-making.

You’ll work closely with SWDS managers, clinical teams and colleagues across SA Dental, building positive partnerships that enable effective business processes. The role also offers the opportunity to engage with a range of external stakeholders, including the Department of Health, other health care providers and Adelaide Dental School staff, making it ideal for someone who enjoys collaboration, variety and making a meaningful contribution to public health services.

About You

You’re a reliable and organised administrator who thrives in a fast-paced health setting, bringing strong judgement, discretion and a proactive approach to your work.

  • Able to work independently or collaboratively, prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines and managing workloads with minimal supervision

  • Confident problem solver who identifies issues, evaluates options and implements practical solutions

  • Strong communicator who builds positive relationships with staff and clients, handling confidential matters with discretion

  • Experienced in using computerised information systems and databases, with skills in improving administrative processes; health or dental experience advantageous
