About the Role:

Become a valued part of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Ward Clerk, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care across our dynamic hospital wards.

As a Ward Clerk, you’ll be the organisational anchor for our clinical teams - helping ensure seamless ward operations and contributing to a positive experience for patients and their families. You’ll work closely with nursing and medical staff, providing essential administrative support that enables high‑quality care for our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • coordinate patient admissions, discharges and transfers
  • schedule appointments and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records
  • provide administrative support to nursing and medical teams
  • manage telephone enquiries and communicate effectively with patients and families
  • process orders for medical supplies and equipment

In this role you will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. You’re confident using computer systems, skilled at managing multiple competing priorities, and resilient when working within complex or high‑pressure situations.
