About the Role

Are you looking for a leadership role that offers both professional fulfilment and an exceptional lifestyle? Cummins and District Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead clinical services and support a dedicated nursing and multidisciplinary team in a welcoming regional community.

In this role, you’ll provide hands-on clinical leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and help shape high-quality, patient-centred care. You’ll work in a close-knit clinic environment where your leadership makes a visible difference - and when the workday ends, you can enjoy everything the Eyre Peninsula has to offer.

With accommodation available and strong organisational support, this is an ideal opportunity to advance your nursing leadership career while achieving genuine work–life balance.

Why Cummins?

Located in the heart of the Eyre Peninsula, Cummins offers a relaxed regional lifestyle with easy access to stunning coastlines, national parks, local produce, and outdoor adventures. Enjoy short commutes, a friendly community, and more time for what matters most - whether that’s family, travel, or time outdoors.

Work in the clinic during the day, then unwind exploring beaches, fishing spots, walking trails, or local cafés - every day really is an adventure.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead and coordinate patient/client care delivery to ensure quality, safety, and continuity of care.
  • Provide clinical and operational leadership to nursing, midwifery, and multidisciplinary staff.
  • Support staff development, mentoring, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Drive quality improvement and service development initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

  • Do you have proven nursing leadership or management experience?
  • Are you a registered nurse or midwife who enjoys working both clinically and strategically?
  • Do you thrive in a regional setting where your skills make a real impact?
  • Are you passionate about supporting teams and delivering person-centred care?
