About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is now available for a dedicated and motivated Speech Pathologist to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) within our Children and Families Service. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families across our community-based clinics, working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Speech Pathologist in Paediatric Services, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality assessment and treatment services to paediatric clients, with a strong focus on optimising health and developmental outcomes. Drawing on your clinical experience and professional expertise, you will plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive, integrated services tailored to the diverse needs of children.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide guidance and support to less experienced clinicians, allied health assistants and students. Collaboration is central to this role, and you will work closely with the broader Allied Health multidisciplinary team, as well as liaising with medical and nursing staff across NALHN and external community agencies to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
About You:
You will bring a foundation in paediatric speech pathology, with demonstrated competency in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders. Your commitment to ongoing professional development and self‑directed learning will align with NALHN’s focus on continuous improvement.
Your ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams will be essential, as will your strong verbal and written communication skills. You will demonstrate excellent time management, enabling you to manage a varied caseload with confidence and efficiency.
