This full-time, ongoing Multiclass RN2C/AHP2 position offers the opportunity to provide person-centred care while working with a supportive multidisciplinary team. About the role: 

Reporting to the Team Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Delivery of evidence based treatments to people presenting in crisis. Both on the job and formal training will be provided to support this.
  • Participating in communication forums with staff, consumers, their families and carers
  • Act as a resource person within an area based on knowledge, experience and skills
  • Providing interventions relevant to your discipline to assist consumers and assistance to other service providers including non-government organisations to meet the mental health care needs of the consumer
  • Working in conjunction with government and non-government agencies to effectively coordinate service provision
  • Working over a 7 day roster with no night shifts

About you:

  • Demonstrated competence in mental health practice in accordance with the relevant standards
  • Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting
  • Experience working  with people who have a mental illness, their families and/or carers
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to express complex ideas succinctly and logically

To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) classification you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP2 or RN2C and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
