About the role: 

Working as a DBT Therapist, and Reporting to the Team Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Providing proficient, person centred, DBT related education and interventions.
  • Working within a supportive team to deliver DBT services to people accessing mental health services.
  • Participating in the review of the effectiveness of DBT within SALHN mental health services.
  • Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience

About you:

  • Demonstrated skills regarding the implementation and review of therapy programs
  • Advanced skills in undertaking a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment, including mental state and risk assessments of consumers presenting with high or complex needs
  • Minimum three years post graduate experience in a clinical role within a mental health service
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a RN2C or AHP2 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
