About the role

The Workforce Advisor provides human resource management services to Executive and Senior Managers for Trainee Medical Officers and medical students. Services may include the resolution of complex workforce issues, guiding policy and compliance, assessing eligibility and IMG applications, supporting recruitment, and building divisional capability through training, consultation and strategic planning.

Key duties of the role

  • Provide advice to Management regarding registration, credentialling, visa and immigration requirements.
  • Manage the initial assessment of applications to ascertain eligibility for employment.
  • Provide advice in relation to conditions of employment including interpretation of Awards, Agreements and Policies.
  • Participate in merit-based selection processes for TMOs.
  • Supervise staff to ensure that all functions are carried out in an efficient, high quality, timely manner.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the provision of training and development to staff.
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, awards, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse systems issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • In-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resource Management
