About the role

As a Pharmacist, you will deliver a high-quality, comprehensive and patient-centred range of professional pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings. This includes dispensing, clinical review, production and counselling services, with a strong focus on optimising drug therapy and supporting safe, effective medication use throughout the patient journey. Your contribution will play a vital role in achieving best-practice medication management outcomes.

Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, you will provide expert drug and therapeutic advice to medical, nursing and allied health professionals involved in patient care. You will operate in accordance with hospital and departmental policies, SA Health guidelines, and relevant State and Federal legislation, while actively contributing as a valued member of a team of professional and non-professional staff committed to delivering efficient, cost-effective and patient-focused pharmacy services.

About You

You are a qualified and patient-focused Pharmacist who brings sound clinical knowledge, professional judgement and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality pharmacy services.

  • Qualifications and registration: Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent), with current registration or eligibility for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, and completion of a recognised pre-registration training program.

  • Clinical and technical capability: Demonstrated knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice, pharmacy production, dispensing, medicines information and patient counselling, with strong technical and manipulative skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Communication and teamwork: Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, effective public relations abilities, and the capacity to work productively within a multidisciplinary team while accepting supervision and guidance.

  • Professional approach and adaptability: Strong organisational skills, the ability to work both independently and with initiative, and demonstrated flexibility, resilience and change management skills within a dynamic healthcare environment.
