About the role

The Administrative Assistant provides confidential administration support for the Allergy and Immunology Department, managing referrals, bookings, and patient and staff enquiries. The Administrative Assistant works autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth and high-quality service delivery.

Key duties of the role

  • Coordinate outpatient bookings in collaboration with the Allergy/Immunology clinical team and Paediatric Outpatients.
  • Receive and redirect telephone calls for the Allergy/Immunology service.
  • Alert the Allergy/Immunology staff to emerging clinical issues and enquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to managers, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and booking meeting rooms.
  • Receive and process referrals within the SRMS system.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in providing a confidential reception and administrative support service.
  • Previous working experience in a large hospital environment.
  • Experience setting priorities, meeting deadlines and performing duties effectively and accurately.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
