About the role

This represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist actively working in a clinical pharmacy environment to contribute to education priorities within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network Pharmacy Department.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive, high-level range of clinical pharmacy education services within a dynamic hospital environment.  You will exercise independent and autonomous judgement in the delivery of pharmacy education and work collaboratively with the Central Adelaide Local Health Network Pharmacy Department education team to achieve required education deliverables.  You will also contribute to the development and delivery of educational content for medical, nursing and other allied health professionals.

You will support the development of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network clinical pharmacy department by supporting clinical pharmacy training and leading the development of a specified education portfolio implementing evidence-based education strategies that support the development of the workforce.

About You

You are a highly capable and experienced hospital pharmacist who combines strong clinical expertise with confident leadership and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality pharmacy services.

  • Qualified and professionally registered – Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registered, or eligible for registration, with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Professionally and technically competent in pharmacy practice with comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes of practice and standards.

  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator – Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships and effectively engage with patients, medical, nursing and allied health professionals. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Analytical and solutions-focused – Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines within a complex environment. Demonstrated experience in research, data analysis and interpretation, with well-developed problem-solving skills to support evidence-based service delivery improvements.

  • Experienced leader and mentor – Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including leadership, supervisory or management responsibilities. Proven ability to lead change, develop and implement service improvement strategies, and supervise, educate and support professional and non-professional staff.

  • Currency of clinical practice – You are currently working in a clinical pharmacy environment and are experienced in the use of systems relevant to clinical pharmacy practice within SA Health.  You commit to maintaining an active component of clinical pharmacy work alongside your education responsibilities.
