Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LHN) is now accepting applications for a Candidate Pool, to be considered for vacant Physiotherapist positions (Allied Health Professional Level 1 or 2) that become available over the next 12 months, in Mount Gambier and across the Limestone Coast region. The Candidate Pool includes any casual work and also any part/full time vacancies which may arise within the wider physiotherapy department. We are continually seeking talented individuals to join our team. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews as opportunities arise.

About the role

As a Rural Generalist Physiotherapist, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of health services. To achieve this, you will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, including health professionals and service providers from other sectors. You will utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches. Our team consists of several senior Physiotherapists who have significant experience in the areas of musculoskeletal, critical care, neurological and amputee rehabilitation who support our junior staff members.

Mount Gambier Hospital is a growing health service providing care in a range of settings including orthopaedic, general surgical and medical inpatients, outpatients, inpatient rehabilitation, paediatrics and many more. The Physiotherapy Department at Mount Gambier Hospital boasts a young, energetic team focused on improving services for the people of the South East.  There are also many opportunities to network with other professionals in the region through professional development opportunities and the local Young Professionals Group.

Please note AHP1 and AHP2 positions are available and classification will be determined by knowledge and experience. 

Country Health Connect focuses on the delivery of exceptional care to those living within our communities who require some support to remain living independently or reside in one of our residential aged care facilities.

Our professional and caring staff deliver health care and wellbeing support across regional South Australia in hospitals, local health services, community centres, residential aged care facilities and clients’ own homes.

About You

  • You must hold a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Experience is not necessary, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • You will be committed to client-centred practice and community engagement in the provision of services, ensuring clients are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care.
  • Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will equip you to work positively within a team and develop effective working relationships.

Qualifications

Must hold a recognised qualification within Physiotherapy and be eligible for Registration and practicing membership. All requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
