WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This role provides hands-on experience in catering, cleaning, and laundry services within a health unit. You will be involved in meal preparation and service, general housekeeping, laundry operations, and supporting the efficient functioning of the health environment.

You will gain experience in operating equipment safely, following workplace procedures, and contributing to a positive team culture that supports continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to develop practical skills in a supportive, structured environment.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Are you reliable, organised, and ready to support the day-to-day catering, cleaning, and laundry services within a health unit?
  • Do you enjoy working in a team environment and taking pride in delivering timely and effective services to patients and staff?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Assist with the preparation, service, and delivery of meals, including portioning, plating, and food handling.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, carpet shampooing, and window cleaning as required.
  • Support laundry operations such as washing, drying, ironing, folding, and maintaining linen, uniforms, and equipment.
  • Operate mechanical and general equipment safely, report faults, and assist with minor repairs as required.
  • Follow WHS requirements, maintain infection control standards, and contribute to a positive, safe, and collaborative workplace.
