Overview:

The Senior Data Engineer / Architect – Data and Analytics Platform (DAP) Operations is accountable to the Specialist Operations Manager and is responsible for

  • Leading the data and analytics architectural evaluation, planning, and delivery of operational clinical analytics projects, models and services which deliver high quality, integrated and fit for purpose analytics solutions to clinicians
  • Developing, building and delivering clinical analytic solutions that integrate data from new and existing clinical applications to establish real time solutions that enable use of operational clinical data across SA Health
  • Providing professional oversight and leadership combined with hands on technical skills to support broad multidisciplinary clinical and technical teams in order to deliver solutions aligned with patient and clinician requirements
  • Establish, maintain and manage clinical data repositories and analytics databases to deliver user access to clinical data within a vSQL environment
  • Establishing and ensuring best practice for clinical analytics development in compliance with government and agency policies, standards and guidelines for use of patient data
  • Lead the sustainable maintenance, evolution and architectural direction for the Data and Analytics Platform ensuring purposeful adoption of evolving data and analytics capabilities over time.

Undertaking the Data and Analytics platform maintenance and enhancement, provisioning of enterprise data assets and enabling technologies, with operations support under the direction of the Specialist Operations Manager. The Senior Data Engineer has responsibility for leading user and Local Health Network engagement to develop new solutions, support solution configuration, align solutions with clinical workflows and coordinate delivery of the OCMIO defined operational analytics initiatives.
