Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in mental health care? We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Administration Officer to provide essential administrative support in the Limestone Coast Local Health Network's (LHN) Mental Health service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering quality care and support to consumers in a compassionate, culturally sensitive environment.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing communications, arranging appointments, and providing exceptional customer service. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination and a positive experience for all consumers and visitors. Your role will support the delivery of projects and services, ensuring the mental health service runs efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, including word processing, preparing letters, minutes, and other correspondence.
  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate record management systems.
  • Handle queries and liaise with stakeholders, providing accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Arrange appointments and coordinate meetings across various departments and agencies.
  • Support the team with desktop publishing, organising accommodation, and processing invoices.
  • Contribute to the development and review of administrative systems and practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Empathy and understanding for people living with mental illness.
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, including document preparation, meeting coordination, and office management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and records management.
  • Cultural sensitivity, with a commitment to engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers.
