About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Business Manager – ACAS to oversee the business administration and statewide operational support for the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). This role is responsible for the effective management of financial operations, staffing, workflow systems, data quality, resource and fleet coordination, and ensuring compliance with contractual and policy requirements. You will play a key role in supporting the efficiency and accountability of ACAS by driving business performance and administrative integrity across the service.

Your leadership will ensure the delivery of consistent and high-quality statewide administrative functions, while also identifying opportunities for revenue optimisation and system improvement. With a strong understanding of health administration and governance, you will bring expertise in managing complex service environments and leading business support teams in alignment with organisational goals.

About You

You are a highly capable and strategic business professional with proven leadership experience in managing complex health service operations. With strong financial, administrative, and contractual oversight skills, you excel in driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and aligning business functions with aged care reform and health service priorities.

  • Hold (or are completing) a tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.

  • Demonstrated expertise in health service planning, budget and contract management, service improvement, and cross-sector stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong leadership, change management, and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams and negotiating at senior levels.

  • Deep knowledge of aged care reforms, My Aged Care systems, quality and safety standards, and public sector HR, WHS, and performance frameworks.
