Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is one of the largest regional hospitals in South Australia, offering 75 beds, including flex beds and a dedicated High Dependency Unit. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, medical and surgical services, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatient clinics. Our Cancer Resource Centre is among the largest in regional SA, featuring six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care, and counselling services - helping patients receive vital treatment close to home. We are also proud to be one of only three regional stroke services in South Australia, delivering specialised stroke treatment 24/7 in partnership with metropolitan stroke units. About the Role:

As the Administration Officer - Maintenance, you will support the efficient operation of maintenance services by coordinating work schedules and allocating tasks to ensure timely completion. Reporting to the Environment & Business Manager, you will ensure that the necessary resources, including materials, plant, labour and contractors, are available to deliver maintenance activities safely and effectively. Working in consultation with the Environmental team, you will play a key role in supporting service continuity and maintaining safe, well-functioning facilities.

 

About You:

  • Demonstrated use of a variety of computer software packages, particularly Word Processing, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience in reception/administration duties.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B (indirect contact with blood or body substances)
