Make a tangible impact by ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of health facilities. This role offers the opportunity to develop and apply hands-on maintenance skills across a variety of building and grounds functions while contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for general facility maintenance, including interior and exterior tasks such as minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical work, and grounds upkeep. You will also assist with stock management, operate equipment like forklifts and tractors, and support the development of gardens and grounds systems.

You will work closely with other staff to ensure the efficient operation of the health unit, providing guidance where needed and contributing to on-the-job training. The role also involves maintaining a high level of knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in building and ground maintenance.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
