About the Role

Step into a senior consult role shaping infectious diseases care across CALHN. You’ll lead inpatient and outpatient consults, build strong unit partnerships, grow research and teaching, and help steer infection control and smart antibiotic use.

Duties

  • Deliver expert consult care for complex infectious disease cases
  • Lead inpatient and outpatient clinical services
  • Guide and supervise trainee medical officers
  • Partner with teams across medicine, nursing and support
  • Drive research, teaching and specialty knowledge growth
  • Support infection control and hospital epidemiology practice

About You

You’re a specialist clinician ready to lead, collaborate and grow infectious diseases care through expert practice, teaching and research.

  • You hold an MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • You hold specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • You bring strong clinical skill in infectious diseases care
  • You contribute to research, teaching and quality improvement
  • You work well in teams and adapt to change with integrity
