As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work closely with Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, providing vital support in delivering high-quality care to patients. Your role will involve assisting with personal care duties, supporting nursing procedures, cleaning equipment, and ensuring the smooth management of stock levels. You’ll help create a safe and caring environment, offering compassionate support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient personal care and routine nursing tasks.
  • Support nursing procedures and maintain equipment.
  • Help manage local stock levels and ensure cleanliness.
  • Alert Registered Nurses to patient or visitor concerns.
  • Work under the supervision of Registered and Enrolled Nurses to ensure optimal care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery program or be employed on the basis that you will be undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses or hold Certificate III or IV in Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience in nursing care within a healthcare setting
