Step into a meaningful Registered Nurse Level 1 (RN1) role where you’ll contribute to safe, high-quality imaging care while building your capability as an early-career clinician.

The RN1 Candidate Pool 2026 offers flexible casual and temporary opportunities (4 weeks to 12 months) within SA Medical Imaging, Australia’s largest public imaging provider, with roles available across country sites including Murray Bridge, Port Pirie and Riverland General Hospital. This is your chance to grow your professional practice, take accountability for your care, and strengthen your clinical confidence in a supportive team environment.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse Level 1, you’ll be part of a compassionate, supportive team committed to delivering high-quality care to our community. This role offers the chance to grow from a developing practitioner into a confident and capable clinician, with plenty of opportunities to consolidate your skills, expand your knowledge and strengthen your professional practice. You’ll be supported through ongoing learning, reflective practice and hands-on experience, while taking accountability for the standard of care you provide and the tasks you delegate to others.

In this position, you’ll play an important role in nurturing a collaborative, positive team culture. You’ll supervise and support students, Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses, working closely with colleagues across the health care team to ensure safe, person-centred care. You’ll also build meaningful relationships with external organisations to help meet the needs of the people you care for. About You

You’re a dedicated and adaptable nursing professional who brings strong clinical capability, a collaborative mindset and a genuine commitment to person-centred care. You value teamwork, continuous learning and delivering safe, high-quality care every day.

  • Registered (or eligible) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a current practising certificate
  • Skilled communicator with strengths in problem solving, conflict resolution and working well within multidisciplinary teams
  • Able to prioritise confidently while bringing creativity, flexibility and a client-centred approach to your practice
  • Demonstrated competence in nursing care supported by sound knowledge of standards, legislation and quality improvement principles
