About the Role

An exciting opportunity awaits dual-qualified Registered Nurses and Midwives to join the friendly and supportive team at Naracoorte Health Service. Located in the beautiful Limestone Coast region, this role offers the chance to work across both midwifery and acute nursing settings, gaining experience in diverse clinical areas while contributing to high-quality, person-centred care.

This is a multi-varied position where you will:

• Deliver direct nursing and midwifery care on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and coordinate services across disciplines.
• Support new and less experienced staff, including students and Enrolled Nurses.
• Provide health promotion and education to patients, families, and the community.
• Participate in quality improvement activities that enhance patient safety and care outcomes.

About You

We are seeking applicants who are:

• Dual-qualified as a Registered Nurse and Midwife with AHPRA registration.
• Passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centred care.
• Effective communicators who thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible, resilient, and committed to continuous learning.
• Recent dual-qualified graduates are strongly encouraged to apply – we will support your transition into practice.

About You

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate 
• Experience in perioperative or willing to undertake training/education
• Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible, prioritise workload and have effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and a demonstrated commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care.
