Overview:

  • This Principal Health Economic Analyst position will design and develop a comprehensive economic sustainability model that ensures the long-term viability of data and intelligence foundations for cancer and maximises improved outcomes across cancer care.
  • The Principal Health Economic Analyst supports the efficient and effective use of available system resources to enable the maximisation of health outcomes across the South Australian public health system.
  • The role provides expert level actionable insights and advice on the evaluation of major state-wide and local policy developments, strategic planning, commissioning and decommissioning of services.
  • The role delivers expert level technical consulting and research for policy evaluation and development and supporting analysis to better enable system-wide evaluation and sustainability.
  • This role necessitates the ability to translate complex health policy into actionable solutions.
  • The role involves frequent expert level internal and external expert stakeholder management, leadership of evaluations and supervision of other Insight Analysts.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).
  • A DHS ‘Working with Children Check’ (WWCC) is required for this position.

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
