MAS3 - CANDI Program Manager

Job no: 930541
Work type: Full time
Location: Adelaide CBD
Categories: Administration, Business and Management, Public Health, Project and Program Management
  • Commission on Excellence and Innovation in Health (CEIH) – Cancer Data & intelligence (CANDI)
  • Salary: $127,859 – MAS3 – Full Time / Term Contract Up to 12 months

Overview:

  • The Cancer Data & Intelligence (CANDI) Platform is a bold, statewide transformation program reshaping how cancer care is delivered in South Australia. By unifying cancer-related data from both public and private providers into a single, enterprise-scale platform, CANDI will unlock real-time insights, smarter clinical decision-making, and evidence-based improvements in cancer outcomes for all South Australians.
  • As the CANDI Program Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for program delivery—establishing and leading the Program Management Office (PMO), delivery frameworks, and governance that ensure CANDI is delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will drive planning and execution across multiple concurrent workstreams, manage risks and dependencies, and enable transparent reporting and benefits realization for this landmark investment.
  • Working in close partnership with the CANDI Technical Lead and CANDI Clinical Business Lead, you will ensure delivery mechanisms support both technical excellence and clinical value realization—aligning program governance, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness to achieve measurable impact across the cancer care ecosystem.
  • You will join the Commission on Excellence and Innovation in Health (CEIH)—a team that values innovation, collaboration, transparency, knowledge sharing, and respect. Here, you will help shape solutions that truly make a difference.

About You:

You are a leader who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You bring:

  • A proven ability to establish and lead a PMO, with robust governance, standards, and program controls across multiple workstreams.
  • Deep experience delivering large-scale technology programs in government or highly regulated environments, balancing hybrid (traditional and agile) delivery approaches.
  • Strong skills in scheduling, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, benefits realization, vendor management, and executive/governance reporting.
  • Demonstrated capability to coordinate operational readiness (e.g., security, privacy, compliance assessments) and ensure quality assurance across workstreams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, bringing together technical, clinical, and business teams to deliver outcomes that matter.
  • Knowledge of the South Australian health system context and formal compliance processes.
