About the role

As a Pharmacist based in Gawler, you’ll be part of a welcoming community and a supportive health service where your clinical expertise truly makes a difference. In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll provide high-quality dispensing, clinical, production and counselling services across both inpatient and outpatient settings. You’ll play a key part in optimising drug therapy, supporting safe and effective medication management, and offering trusted therapeutic advice to medical, nursing and allied health colleagues. Guided by SA Health standards, departmental procedures and relevant legislation, you’ll ensure every patient receives safe, informed and person-centred care.

Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to a culture that values professionalism, shared learning and continuous improvement. You’ll supervise and support pharmacy interns and students, while also working closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, technicians and broader clinical teams. With strong ties to the Gawler community and local primary healthcare providers, this role offers the chance to build meaningful connections while delivering quality, cost-effective and compassionate medication services that enhance health outcomes for the region.

About You

You bring a strong clinical foundation, a collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality medication services.

  • Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and be registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • Communicate clearly, work well within a team and confidently use your initiative in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Bring solid technical skills, strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise accurately and work efficiently
  • Apply your knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice, legislation, patient counselling and dispensary procedures, supported by pre-registration training in a hospital or community setting
