As part of our dedicated team, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality meals to patients, staff and visitors. You’ll be responsible for daily food production across patient menus, the Café and special functions, ensuring every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation and nutrition. Working collaboratively with Food Services colleagues and hospital staff, you’ll uphold food safety, stock security and operational procedures while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.

To be eligible for this position, you must have an AQF Certificate lll in Commercial Cookery with at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience.

In this role you will bring strong technical capability, including the ability to set up, program and operate complex kitchen machinery and computerised systems. Your organisational skills allow you to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage detailed production schedules with confidence. You can interpret and implement catering guidelines, recipes and procedures with precision, ensuring consistency and quality across all services. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you work effectively with colleagues at all levels, maintain confidentiality and engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds. Your recent experience in a commercial food service environment, combined with your ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensures you thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting.
