About the role

The Manager Corporate Liaison Services is a key leadership role within the RMCLHN Secretariat, responsible for overseeing a range of governance, ministerial liaison and executive support functions that enable safe, high‑quality care for our communities. You will provide high level secretariat support to the RMCLHN Governing Board and Executive, and ensure effective communication between the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, the Minister for Health and Wellbeing, and the Department for Health and Wellbeing.

This position is offered with flexible working hours between 0.6 and 1.0 FTE, supporting work–life balance while meeting service needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and quality assurance of ministerial correspondence, briefings, parliamentary questions, Cabinet submissions and related documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide high level executive and governance support to the RMCLHN Governing Board committee structure, including meeting coordination, agenda and paper preparation, action tracking and annual work planning.
  • Oversee information and records management processes within the Secretariat, including use of Objective and other relevant systems.
  • Support the coordination and management of legal and Freedom of Information requests, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and timeframes.
  • Provide proactive support and advice to the Director Governance and Executive Services and contribute to strategic and operational planning across RMCLHN.
  • Lead and develop Secretariat staff, fostering a positive, customer‑focused and values‑based culture.
  • Ensure compliance with SA Health and South Australian Government policies, legislation and reporting requirements

About you

You are an experienced leader with strong governance, executive support or corporate liaison experience, ideally within a complex public sector or health environment. You are highly organised, can manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and have excellent written communication skills, including the ability to proofread and edit complex documents.

You will also bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse issues, develop solutions and exercise sound judgement and delegated authority.
  • Proven experience preparing high‑level reports, briefings and correspondence for senior executives or boards.
  • High level interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
  • Experience in records management systems and in establishing and reviewing systems, practices and procedures.
  • Commitment to SA Public Sector and SA Health values, including respect, accountability, customer service, cultural safety and integrity.
  • A tertiary qualification in health, business management or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
