About the role

The Administrative Officer provides confidential administrative support across within Women’s Outpatient Services. The Administration Officer works autonomously, manages tasks, and supports unit managers to ensure smooth, efficient operations within a fast‑paced environment to achieve optimal outcomes for our patients.

Key duties of the role

  • Maintain patient confidentiality, security of the medical record and associated patient information.
  • Provide an accurate, timely and professional response to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls dealing with routine patient enquiries in consultation with clinical staff.
  • Prioritise work, meet deadlines and work in a high activity area.
  • Courteous and prompt handling of enquiries, both face to face and over the phone.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in providing a confidential reception and administrative support service.
  • Experience to set priorities, trouble shoot and perform duties effectively and accurately.
  • Effective time management skills to coordinate and manage workload demands.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of team and to function in and promote a multi-disciplinary team approach.
