About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated pharmacist to join the Regional Cancer Services pharmacy team. Based in metropolitan Adelaide, you will work alongside experienced cancer pharmacists to deliver high-quality care to the 15 chemotherapy units across regional South Australia through an integrated model combining telehealth and on-site hospital visits.

This position is suited to pharmacists with a minimum of two years’ hospital clinical pharmacy experience who are seeking to extend their practice within cancer services. Previous oncology experience is desirable but not essential. Where required, the successful applicant will undertake the SA Pharmacy Training Package for Clinical Verification of Cancer Therapy to support the development of cancer competency.

Your expertise in optimising drug therapy and ensuring safe, evidence-based medication management will directly contribute to better outcomes for individuals receiving cancer treatment. Guided by SA Health standards, departmental procedures and relevant legislation, you will deliver trusted therapeutic advice that supports informed decision-making and person-centred care.

Working as part of a skilled and collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll be valued for your professionalism, communication and commitment to best practice. You’ll work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, technicians and cancer care clinicians. This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact across regional communities by helping deliver safe, timely and compassionate medication services that enhance the quality of care for people living with cancer.

About You

You’re a dedicated and adaptable pharmacist who brings strong clinical knowledge, clear communication and a commitment to safe, high-quality medication care.

  • Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy and be registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • Communicate effectively, work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and use your initiative confidently when working independently
  • Bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, accuracy and well-developed organisation and problem-solving abilities
  • Apply sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice, legislation, counselling and dispensary procedures, supported by previous hospital clinical pharmacy training
